[Extra page: own radio stations] If you like it, you can find some old radio stuff here, once made by myself. My Radionomy stations were called Good Vibrations (2011-2015) and Only 00s (2011-2013 or 2014).

This page is a supplement to the 2008-2014 part on page 3; the foldable musical timeline below the 'once favorites' list there.

2011-2015: MY RADIONOMY STATION 'GOOD VIBRATIONS'

This was the main one, originally started as a general 'happy music' station (from the 50s till the early 10s and from BZN to happy dance - and everything in between). After a couple of months it changed into a semi 90s station - because the original format seemed unlistenable for others.

The jingles were selfmade, created with voice overs ordered somewhere else (Voicebunny, Michael Kames) and sounds found literally everywhere. In Audacity everything was put together. And yes, it was meant to sound typical 90s.

Anyway - the format focussed on +/- 1988-2002 and was light and danceable/funky/relaxed. It was the happy medium between my own taste, at that moment, and what was listenable for others.

An important reason: If there weren't enough listeners for your station, Radionomy pulled the plug.

  • Very early compilation jingles (YT file), made in 2011 and early 2012. Playing with tiny pieces of music.
  • Jingles in 2012: Long and general.
  • Jingles in 2012: Short jingles.
  • Jingles in 2012: Some jingles of the 'Old School Mania' specials.
  • Jingles in 2012: Some jingles of the 'Beat Blender' specials.
  • Jingles in 2012: Top of the hours (some were specifically made for summer days).
  • Jingles in 2013: Top of the hours; more advanced versions of the ones above, now also containing 'it's about x am/pm CET'. Each hour had a short and a long version → In this compilation they are alternating.
  • Jingles in 2013: Extra additions; some are spring/summer related and some others are days-of-the-week related.
  • Jingles, late 2013: Some jingles of the new, extra long weekend version of Old School Mania.
  • Jingles in 2014: Some jingles of the 'Non Stop Happiness' specials. Every Monday and Friday at noon, one hour of music a bit similar to Q Music's 'Het Foute Uur'. With fun fair like jingles.
  • A full 'regular playlist' hour you can listen to (YT file). It's from August 2012.
  • A full genre show (early 2015) you can listen to: Lazy Sunday (YT file).
  • A full genre show (early 2015) you can listen to: Funky Sunday (YT file).

In 2015 I pulled the plug because of too many problems at Radionomy (partly technical) combined with a slightly changing view on music. The very obvious 'feel good' thing started to feel uncomfortable.

And because of the station name it was hard to make a slightly more alternative sounding station of it. Playing Radiohead and such things was difficult. Creep was put in the database at a certain moment, but it felt a bit off.

One year later Radionomy pulled the plug completely, because of rights issues and financial issues.

I've thought about creating new radio like compilations and putting them on Mixcloud or YouTube, but it never happened. Nowadays sharing my favorites on Spotify seems the best alternative. But that's without jingles and programming.

2011-2013 or 2014: MY OTHER RADIONOMY STATION 'ONLY 00S':

In fact this was the very first one; also with voice overs by Michael Kames.

To be honest - the 00s weren't my favorite music decade and will never be that, but I saw it as a challenge. Plus: There were almost no 00s stations online yet, so the format was quite unique.

  • This was the schedule. Regular playlist hours and year specials were alternating.
  • Here are some of the jingles. They were made mid 2011.
  • 101 minutes of the station recorded, spring 2012 (YT file). From 10:30 to 72:24 there's a year special (in this case: 2001). 81:00 - 81.32 = commercial filler. The rest of the file is the general playlist.
